Caravan was really old and not so clean. Isolation was very bad, we were freezing. Bathroom was ok. Room LH is too little, looks like a prison cell.

Batemans Bay is one of the most popular seaside towns on the NSW South Coast. The YHA hostel is situated in a camping/caravan park surrounded by trees and gardens and an easy stroll to town and beaches for backpackers. Homely, clean and friendly hostel with a large kitchen and outside deck. Swimming pool, BBQ, laundry facilities, free tea/coffee.
Trips are available from the YHA to Pebbly Beach where you can laze around with kangaroos. Heaps of bushwalking in national parks and state forests. Swim on beautiful beaches, cruise the Clyde River, experience sea kayaking, dolphin watching, deep sea fishing, diving or learn to surf. Shops, pubs and cinema all within walking distance.
2 pubs and 3 clubs with easy walking distance.
900 metres to the nearest food store
BB is a nice little town. There are a few bars and restaurants around town and on the esplanade, we ate an excellent Thai meal and lovely food at Mariners. You can get a Courtesy Bus from the RSL to the hostel or grab a cab at the rank which is centrally located and a good drop-off point. There is a fun open-air club which closes at 12. The beaches are lovely, though the best ones are a dive away.
