I was very surprised at this hostel, you have a bathroom in your room (only 3 of us in the bedroom it may have been a problem if the full 6 were in), fridge in your room, plug sockets at each bed, don't need a deposit for cutlery or anything like tha...

Darwin YHA is in a great location- close to the bars, restaurants and shops, but just far enough to be quiet.
The staff are all really friendly and helpful.

Located in the heart of the Northern Territory's tropical
capital, Darwin YHA is the friendly, quieter option on
popular Mitchell Street in the city's entertainment precinct. Experience our new ensuite bedrooms all with
air-conditioning, plus our outdoor pool and BBQ area, internet and WiFi. The hostel's tour desk can help you find the
best backpacker tours and travel options around Darwin including Tiwi Islands,
Nitmiluk, Kakadu National Park and the Arnhem Land Aboriginal Reserve.
Darwin YHA is a great base for exploring the spectacular World Heritage Kakadu National Park, the magnificent waterfalls at Litchfield National Park, the Tiwi Islands and the Arnhem Land Aboriginal Reserve. Darwin enjoys a warm tropical climate all year. The dry season (May to November) is the cooler time of the year in the 'Top End' and allows for excellent outdoor activities like the Mindil Beach Markets.
There is plenty to do after dark. The hostel is located in the heart of Darwin's backpacker nightlife with many pubs, nightclubs, outdoor cafes, cinemas and restaurants to try. The Globetrotters Bar next door will keep you entertained until the early hours.
