have stayed here on four separate occasions after long trips and it has been like "coming home". I like the place very much. The nice little touch of fruit in the communal kitchen which was available to all was much appreciated.

  • This charming fishing village is a must see. Port Fairy is located at the end of the iconic Great Ocean Road and is one of the busiest fishing ports in Victoria. You can watch the fishermen unload their catch for the day or wander the wide streets lined with quaint nineteenth century cottages, including our own YHA!

A piece of Victorian history and former home to the town founder, Port Fairy YHA backpackers hostel is one of the oldest heritage buildings in the seaside town. Ideally located its walking distance to the town centre, beaches and river. Why not eat fresh fish and chips on the beach from the local store and wander to Griffiths Island and see the lighthouse and colony of birds.

In addition to multi-share and private rooms Port Fairy YHA also has a self contained apartment with a Queen Room and Twin Room (sleeps 4) that can be booked by calling the hostel directly. Prices start from $200 for 4 people, please call for more information or to book. Terms and Conditions Apply.
