"We only stayed one night but had an amazing time. It's a family run hostel, and the family are so incredibly friendly and helpful! The trips are cheap and great fun, and the atmosphere is cracking! Centrally located, and the greyhound drops you off/ picks you up right outside!!!"

"New and very delightful hostel. Great hosts, typicall Ozzies, that have set up an overwhelming set of activities for backpackers. People end up staying there much longer than expected, almost kind of community buliding. Still it clearly is a place where people stay because of partying. It was the most 'partied' hostel on my whole trip through South America, NZL and OZ."

"Had a really good time here, got told there was nothing to do in yamba by other hostels ... Complete lie, there was so much to do that i missed outon things. Really good staff, the locals are friendly and the people at the hostel make sure you have the best time for the cheapezt price, would deffinately go back there again"

"Only stayed for one night, so didn't get the chance to chat to too many people, but I was surprised at how modern & clean the facilities were at the Yamba YHA. Also had a ping pong table, games & tv room, which I didn't realise they had until I arrived there. Nice surprise! Also seemed to be an option for Yamba locals & other holidaymakers to have dinner/a drink as well, nice to see."

"The only suggestion is that the bathrooms need scheduled mopping twice a day (currently once a day) as the floors get flooded from the showers (no shower curtains) and puddles sit on the floor all day/night, it is then very slippery - myself and another almost had an accident. More a risk management aspect. If the water drained quickly it wouldn't be an issue. But bathrooms otherwise great."

"I was really impressed with this hostel - it's arguably one of the best I've ever stayed in. Rooms were clean and a decent size, plenty of bathroom facilities (which were also nice and clean), great location with plenty of restaurants and activities based nearby, only 5 mins walk to the beach. I'm already planning another trip back there as my first was too short! Staff were also very friendly."
