"I simply loved this hostel! The hosts, Betty and Wayne, are the most considerate people. We stayed over Christmas and they prepared Christmas and New Year?s snacks for everyone. Lovely, lovely place!"

"Great location! Hostel is very noisy. Directly outside our room was the outside smoking area. We had a ensuite room, but weren't given towels--they were $2 to hire. Our bathroom made the room steamy and smelled of too much moisture. The vent was extrememely noisy. I couldn't use my YHA purchased card for the internet, which meant I couldn't use it at all, since we were leaving for home"

"YHA in Merimbula in well located, clean and tidy. The facilities are excellent and very well maintained. The host and hostess were also very friendly and welcoming. Would highly recommend this hostel to anyone passing through Merimbula."

"good location if travelling coast from Melbourne to Sydney. Bed was very uncomfortable, good feel the slats under the mattress. Room was opposite reception and next to toilets so was noisy! There was also a big gap under the door so light from hallway lit up the bedroom. Toilets/showers were poor."

"This is a great place to stay at when visiting Merimbula, the owner/hosts are very helpful, friendly and more than willing to offer suggestions of things to see and do. Kitchen is one of the cleanest I've come across in hostels. This is not a party hostel and one where you are encouraged to respect your other guests. If you happen to be over 30, you will feel very welcomed & happy staying here."
