"Don't be confused with name of it. You will not see any sign of YHA and the place is called Kings Canyon Resort. At the reception is available one computer with internet but during my stay the internet connection wasn't working as it was cloudy. Once you will get the room you will find out that beds are on wheels and that they are moving unexpectedly. Bathroom is outside and full of insect."

"This is a good hostel overall with resort features like a pool and large lawn areas; but it was let down by a couple of bad maintenance points. While the rooms were good, the shared kitchen was really filthy. It clearly was not routinely cleaned. Also, a lot of water was being wasted by leaking toilet cisterns, so it wasn't so environmentally friendly."

"Since this is not a normal YHA, but part of the Resort, it can be confusing when you arrive. We couldn't find any reference to YHA at the reception, but the receptionist was very friendly and immediately had our reservation ready. Location is great, but comfort was lower than what we expected. Kitchen is small and not really well equipped. but the location is amazing."

"This is the only accommodation available in Kings Canyon. We stayed in a double room and the bed was clean. However, the kitchen is a bit old and we need to get the cooking utensils from the reception (pay $50 as deposit). The toilet and bathroom's condition is acceptable. Love the natural environment and the sunset viewing area."

"The biggest problem with this hostel was the presence of a very high number of mice. Everywhere! My bed was completely dirty with their dungs..... The door of the room was broken and the kitchen was dirty. The fridge was out of order...... Fortunately the toilette have a gate anti-dingos....and this is very good cause there are many dingos there!!! The location of the hostel is wonderful."

"There are many mice in the hostel room and that is stated nowhere! They ate our stuff and even came into the bed. Hostel staff said it is normal - than please state it somewhere CLEARLY! Besides that the kitchen is quite dirty and limited kitchen appliances can be rented (for free). Location is of course very good as it is close to Kings Canyon and the staff was friendly (but not always helpful)"
