"I spent two fantastic weeks in this hostel. Jeff and Harry are awesome; we went for a spin in the swamp, they always drove me in town when I needed and they are really friendly. I come from Melbourne and it was the most relaxing holidays that I had since years. Of course you must be a nature lover otherwise you have nothing to do with this hostel. Bring a good spirit you will be rewarded."

"You can smell the owner's dog everywhere. We put some clothes in the dryer and were disgusted by the smell afterwards. The house might have been nice at some point, but now all the facilities are old and above all dirty! You're also in the middle of nowhere and there are only 3 shuttle buses a day. Not at all the standard of a YHA Hostel! We wouldn't recommend it!!"

"Room was nice but no aircon. Everyone was really friendly and it was a great place to relax in the hammocks or by the pool. Really laid back, not a place for the very adventurous!!"

"Staying at the treehouse was fantastic! Harry was an exceptional host and the atmosphere was relaxed and simply an amazing experience. It was so quintessentially Australian staying in the bush surrounded by kangaroos, lizards and we even spotted a cassowary in the back yard. The location was excellent too. It was a remarkable experience and I would highly recommend it to everyone!!"

"Pam and I had a wonderful week at Treehouse. Despite the recent cyclone the views and surrounding rainforest are fabulous. The manager (Harry) is a great guy with a dry sense of humour and he runs a relaxed yet well-managed hostel. Thoroughly recommend! Plenty to do at Mission beach although it was good to have a small hire car to see it all."

"Pretty laid back hostel with good facilities, & nice location, although a little isolated without transport. Room i stayed in was basic, but very comfortable & clean beds & bedding. "
