"The room was clean, but generally musty. The bathroom was a bit run down and always smelled moldy/musty. There was signage throughout the hostel and the room with opening and closing times for the office and other services, but none of these signs had the same time. It was very difficult to figure out when the office opened and closed."

"The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! They booked all my adventures while I was in Port Douglas for me and were more than happy to help with anything I asked of them! Pools lovely! The room I stayed in had a great, private outdoor seating area right out side my door. I would absolutely recomend staying here!"

"Hostel is lovely, great staff and owner! The free transfer from and to Cairns is great if you stay 2 nights. It is a short walk into the towns main road and is nice and quiet at night for resting. Was not busy when there so not much atmosphere but as we were there to do the great barrier reef and had early starts we did not mind this. Free internet and air con which is amazing.. Well Worth a stay!"

"This is a fab YHA. Clean. Friendly, helpful staff. The facilities are great, wide screen TV, beds are made each day, lovely pool. But the best bit.... the food. Excellent Irish chef, great menu and such value for money - far better than anything you will get in the main street. Worth going to just for the food!"

"This is a good place to spend for a few chilled out days and as a base for exploring the Daintree Rainforest (as well as for trips to the Great Barrier Reef). The owners are very friendly and the free transfers to and from Cairns (and the airport) cut out some of the hassle that might otherwise exist. There is a bar on site which does some decent beers, and there is also a good restaurant."

"The staff are brilliant, very friendly and helpful. The free transfers between Cairns and Port Douglas, plus the free internet access make this hostel very good value for money. The bedrooms were spacious and clean. My only grip would be the state of the kitchen area. To be fair they had guest who were not cleaning up, but the standard of equipment really needs improving"
