A passenger/car ferry runs between Sorrento and Queenscliff (entry to Great Ocean Road). This is an affordable day trip and you might see dolphins in the bay on the way over!
Ferry departs every hour, on the hour, from 7am - 6pm. The terminal is 1.3km from the hostel. For more info: www.searoad.com.au
There is also a passenger ferry running to/from Cowes on Phillip Island.
