"I stayed in the hostel for two nights. I've been there a couple of times before. This place
is awesome regarding the people, the wild life and atmosphere. But I couldn't very well. I was in room 14(twin),80$/night. Had to climb a ladder! Beds were just wooden planks. Woke up a dozen times a night with a sore back."

"I was impressed. I have stayed in Lorne before but always in hotels and I rate the hostel better than them except for the inconvenience of not having an ensuite bathroom. That didn't matter too much as there was never a queue. The setting is exceptional - so peaceful except for the noisy cockies who entertained us very much - yet so close to all the cafes etc in Lorne. I will come back!"

"The hostel is in an absolutely beautiful location, the facilities are basic but gorgeous and adequate, and the staff go completely above and beyond to make sure everyone is safe and happy -- I had a perfect holiday here, and didn't want to leave!"

"Had a GREAT weekend up here, the mix dorms are set in lovely cottage-like cabins. It's on a very nice property which is lush with well kept gardens...we were pleasantly surprised! Paki is funny and made us feel right at home..and the location is a short walk from foodworks and a 2min walk from the shops. Hot tip use the shower on the right it has the best pressure."

"My daughter & I choose YHA for the obviouse reasons, value, friendliness & inviting atmospher. We got all this and more with our stay in Lorne, will be for sure staying again and spreading the word. Got to love the YHA in Lorne. If your thinking of visiting Lorne DO IT. Beautiful location."

"Our worst hostel out of 3 we stayed in on GOR. Cold, damp, and noisy as the walls are thin and there are people staying above in the attic. Staff were sarcastic and rude on arrival and departure. We were last to arrive and therefore got the smallest room with no sink which others had for the same price! Had to park car away from hostel. Utterly miserable - do not stay here."
