"This YHA reminded me so much of the camps I went on over the course of my school years (not a bad thing!). On a sunny morning, the walk along The Esplanade to the town centre is just beautiful. If you drive though, be careful if you are parking out back - the driveway is only 1 car-width, and there could easily be a head-on between a car enterring & one exiting. A definite recommendation, though!"

"Rooms at the Lakes Entrance YHA Hostel were clean and tidy but facilities are dated. Location is very central - it is across the road from the waterfront and a short walk into the centre of town. Staff at reception were very friendly and helpful."

"We had a good experience at Lakes Entrance, customer service was very good, cleanliness was very good, no issues. The room we had was clean, warm, quiet. No issues. The room we had was a little small, otherwise all good. Under cover parking for our motorbikes was a bonus."

"A reasonably priced hostel located in a very competitive holiday resort town. Without a car it is a long hike to the centre of town. Has all the usual facilities, including a swimming pool. Management are friendly and helpful."

"rooms clean and well furnished, bathroom not yet renovated but clean, kitchen area also not renovated and well below average compared with other hostels, and not clean especially the floors and cupboards."
