"Very friendly staff, the other guests during the grape picking season are normally living in the hostel long-term but are very friendly and welcoming to anyone just stopping by for the weekend. The hostels a bit further out of town than expected but a 10-minute walk solves that and tour groups are quite happy to pick you up directly from the hostel"

"With no air con in the dorms it was a little hard to sleep, with just the fan, but it was still a good place to stay as the staff was really nice and helpful, the pool was great and it was a nice and secure car park. A very convenient place for exploring the Margaret River area"

"This was the poorest YHA hostel we had ever lived in Australia. The beds were unclean, freezing to death in the mid-night with a very thin blanket, facilities were primitive and old as if they had been used for 20 years. Kitchen was also messy by irresponsible inmates with food residuals scattered everywhere. Most of the cooking utensils were worn out too."

"The hostel is well located in a beautiful beach and winery district in W A. Also ,we visited near-by chocolate and cheese factories.Lots of things to do and see. We used and liked the spacious n clean kitchen."

"Perhaps it had something to do with the long weekend and the size of the hostel but the older crowd one often finds in hostels was much smaller proportionally. That would probably explain the noise that went on quite late into the night."

"The room was dark even with the curtain and door open. The facilities were dirty. There was no toilet paper. The bed was so hard we might as well have slept on the floor. Once we got there and looked around, if we could have got a refund we would have."
