Backpacker Essentials magazine was recently inundated with over 2,000 entries in its Annual Photo Competition. Every continent was covered in a vast range of shots.

The Eiffel Tower won the 'most photographed from every possible angle' award; cute kids and animals made the judges go 'awwww' and breathtaking scenic shots had them packing their bags.

See some of the winning shots below, including the winner and runners up in the Digital category.

This was taken in San Louis Obispo, California.

This alleyway is well known by the local who, every time they walk down it stick a piece of chewing gum to the wall. People even stick dimes and quarters on the gum. It's really tempting to try and pull a coin off the gum, but no thank you, argh..... just a thought!
