Each year, the annual Backpacker Essentials Photo Competition tells us more about where YHA members went and what they have been up to than any amount of fancy market research could. They get to every continent and hundreds of countries, and send in photos to prove it!

From Antartica to Iceland, Japan to Canada, New Zealand to Peru, over 2,200 photos were entered in this year's competition. Enjoy the winners and the runners up - congratulations to them all.
