This year's Backpacker Essentials Photo Competition was a photo feast, a gourmet extravaganza of travel photos from around the world. Over 2,000 shots were entered and every continent covered.

YHA members continue to travel the world and snap all manner of shots along the way. From Machu Picchu to Antartica, the Eiffel Tower to Kathmandu - the shots were inspiring. Enjoy the winners and runners up - congratulations to them all.
