A night at the Civic

Inject a little otherworldly class into that class of yours and dazzle them with a day at the Newcastle Civic Theatre!

Inject a little otherworldly cass into that class of yours and dazzle them with a day at the theatre!

Newcastle’s Civic Theatre offers multiple options for both Primary and Secondary aged groups, including teaching notes with each performance so you can ensure your students have absorbed and engaged with the show. 2017 saw students feasting on treats such as Roald Dahl’s The Witches, The Merchant of Venice and Mr Stink, which sets the bar for 2018 pretty darn high.

The gorgeous theatre, styled in that of yesteryear, is centrally located in the city’s cultural precinct, meaning your group can enjoy The Maritime Centre, the Museum, the Library and the Gallery as ideal bookends to your trip to the theatre.

“Teach, can’t we stay longer?!”

Newcastle Beach YHA is the sea change your group is looking for. Walk to the beach, the ocean baths and the Theatre! Newcastle Beach YHA accommodates school excursions, university groups, international study tours, sporting teams, family and friends, and many more.

Post-theatre, enjoy beach-based activities (surfboards/body boards available at the YHA), explore Newcastle and discover its convict past; architectural history and thriving port, seasonal dolphin/whale watch cruises also available.

This property is located close to Newcastle Uni and the International Sports Centre for social groups. Dune quad-biking in nearby Port Stephens and Hunter Valley are nearby and perfect for day trip.
