Sure it's Snowy in Winter, but Thredbo is down right sparkly in Summer. Eat, drink, walk, bike, hike, bobsled and disc golf - get down here, and be left wondering why it took you so long!
Here's a fun question: what happens when the snow melts? Well, friends, the mountain comes alive! When the pow dissapears, dozens of bushwalking and hiking trails emerge, all of which are well-worth a trip to the not-so-Snowy Mountains. If you're more of a land-dweller, the village busltes with old-school fun activities like bobsledding, disc golf, trampolining and an entire activity centre for kids big and small.
Disc golf still sound like too much physcial exetrion? We got you covered. Well, Brumby Distillery has you covered. Lovacores, rojoice - this gorgeous, sprawling distillery and cafe serves up local produce as their daily menu, washed down with an authentic schnapps or gin, both distilled on site. Located halfway between Jindabyne and Thredbo and just a turn off the highway - this is a little corner of magic you really want to take a bite out of. And a bottle home.
Summer is mountain biking season, and Thredbo is one of Australia’s premier MTB destinations, boasting trails, clinics, events and programs perfect for riders of all ages and abilities.
