YHA understands that you may be facing uncertain times and impact from COVID-19. The team at YHA, along with the whole tourism sector, is also going through a similar experience.
YHA is a not-for-profit membership organisation and all funds go to continuing to run a network of hostels. We exist to offer a home away from home for travellers, and to bring together people from various countries and backgrounds who share one thing in common: a thirst to see the world.
YHA understands that you might need to change your booking. It is important to understand that booking refunds may be subject to different terms and conditions depending on the type of booking that was made, and also how and where the booking was made – so please see below:

Therefore, if you have made a refundable booking and are within the refund period (up to 6:00pm the day prior to arrival), please follow the instructions below:
This will bring up the details of your booking with the option to cancel at the bottom.
If you need to cancel within 24 hours of your arrival time you will need to contact the hostel directly by phone or email.
Please allow at least 7-10 business days for processing a refund. Without exception, all refunds will be deposited to the original credit card used for your booking.
Other booking sites:
Cancellations need to be made via the website where you made your booking originally, and are subject to the terms and conditions on that site. If you booked through a travel agent, please contact them directly for more information.
Group bookings:
Please contact the Groups Coordinator at the hostel you have booked to discuss your booking and cancellations.
Travel and Tour Bookings:
Please contact the hostel where you made your travel booking with your voucher and booking details to request a postponement, travel credit, or refund.
