Safe Stay with YHA
At YHA, your safe stay is our top priority. We have adopted a range of measures to ensure the safety of our people and guests during this time.
It is highly recommended that fitted face masks are worn while guests are in indoor common areas of the property including foyers, lobbies, lifts, stairwells, corridors, kitchens, shared recreational areas & laundries.
YHA encourages its guests to keep up-to-date with State & Territory travel restrictions and requirements when travelling in Australia - information can be found at the links listed below:
International arrivals
Please check any Australian Government requirements that may be in place for visitors arriving from overseas.
If you or any of your travelling companions:
- are required to self-isolate or home quarantine by federal or state health orders and/or;
- have a fever, cough, sore throat, shortness of breath or any cold and flu like symptoms in the last 72 hours;
then YHA will not be able to accommodate you. We recommend contacting the property directly prior to arrival to discuss your particular circumstances.
Additional safe stay measures

Practising social distancing, at least 1.5m, (where possible) around the property is still important. High traffic areas are marked to remind both staff and guests. |
Choose a family or private room for your household. Co-living rooms may have reduced occupancy for safe distancing. |
There are extra and more frequent cleaning protocols especially in communal areas and on high-touch surfaces through out the property. |

Hand sanitiser is at reception and soap in all bathrooms and kitchens. Signage reminds us all of the importance of washing our hands frequently. |
Wear masks when required by health orders and we recommend there use if you are unable to social distance or when interacting with YHA team members. |
On check in, we will share special guidelines for your stay with us. Extra check in information may be required to follow Health Department guidelines.
|
You are no longer* required to be vaccinated when staying at YHA properties across Australia unless there is a local health order in place requiring that they should be vaccinated to stay in the style of accommodation offered by YHA.
