    Bridport is a small seaside village in Tasmania's sunny north coast, on the shores of Anderson's Bay nestled in a picturesque setting of natural bush with beautiful sheltered beaches. Bridport Seaside Lodge Backpackers YHA is a purpose-built hostel and is located opposite the river estuary. It is only a few minutes walk from the hostel to the beach, bakery, cheap eats, post office, internet cafe and shops.

    Please note this hostel will be closed from June 14th to August 10th 2016.

    • This is the second time I have stayed at this hostel. Friendly management and I have been made to feel very welcome. Excellent kitchen and lounge with beautiful outlook. Comfortable room with all you could need.

    Things to do in Bridport

    From the hostel windows, view the estuary life - sea eagles, pelicans and other sea birds. Explore the river by canoe, try oystering, walk the two and a half hour coastal walk or try fishing either off the beach or in a boat. A short drive away from the YHA you will find a lavender farm, wineries, sand dunes, waterfalls and mountain walks. Worldclass Barnbougle and Lost Farm golf courses.
