HAVE THE YHA TO YOURSELVES

Enjoy a comfortable and memorable stay in the beautifully updated former Fremantle Women’s Prison warder’s cottages, built in the late 19th century to accommodate the staff from the Fremantle Women’s prison. Located on top of the hill with historic Fremantle City at your doorstep, these delightful cottages have been lovingly furnished to create a modern, comfortable stay. Fremantle Colonial Cottages are the perfect place to stay for a group holiday, whether it be with family, friends or a mix of both.

Things to do

Fremantle Colonial Cottages are located in the heart of Fremantle, making them the perfect base to explore this beautiful maritime city.

For an urban adventure, explore the colourful Fremantle markets, the famous Cappuccino Strip, or any one of the city's bustling micro breweries, bars and clubs. Beach lovers should visit one of the many beautiful beaches in Fremantle and spend the day in the sunshine.

Delve into Fremantle's extensive history by visiting neighbouring Fremantle Prison and going on one of their immersive prison tours. Alternatively, head to the Maritime Museum or the Shipwreck Galleries for insight into seafaring Fremantle.

No trip to Fremantle is complete without heading over to Rottnest Island. Jump on the ferry, hire some bikes, go Quokka spotting and laze on pristine white sand beaches with dazzling azure waters.
