In the seaside town of Port Germein, stroll along South Australia's longest jetty, built-in 1881. Journey onwards to Mt. Remarkable National Park in the Southern Flinders Ranges to set up camp for the night.

Today, travel approximately 350km (4 hours) in total.

Day 2 – Mt. Remarkable National Park & Eyre Peninsula

Wake up to the sounds of native birdlife, and after breakfast embark on the first hike of the tour exploring Davey's Gully. Take in stunning views across the Spencer Gulf. See some unique silo art in Kimba and after a quick pitstop for lunch, head towards the wildly beautiful Eyre Peninsula.

Spot dolphins surfing the waves at Venus Bay and explore magical Talia Caves before testing out your sandboarding skills in some epic dunes. Arrive at our home base - Coodlie Park Farm Retreat, for a BBQ feast and to share stories with travellers from our other tour.  Spend the night in a unique swag hut in an eco-campground with shower and toilet facilities.

Today, travel approximately 450km (5 hours) in total.

Day 3 – Baird Bay & Penong

This morning, peel on a wetsuit for a two-hour learn-to-surf lesson on a pristine beach with Sceale Bay Surf School. Those not wanting to surf will be able to relax, swim or explore.

Following a picnic lunch, it's time for one of the tour highlights, swimming with the ever-playful wild sea lions and majestic dolphins on a 3-hour cruise in the sheltered waters of Baird Bay. This optional experience is an outsourced adventure operated by Baird Bay Eco Tours. At only $180, it is an experience to treasure forever.

Tonight, camp at Penong, which is famous for its dozens of windmills. Today travel approximately 290km (5 hours).

Day 4 – Nullarbor & Great Australian Bight

There is no getting out of a long drive today as we start to travel across the mighty Nullarbor Plain. Take a snap the world famous wombat, kangaroo and camel road sign, and experience the jaw-dropping beauty of the 'Edge of Australia' at the Bunda Cliffs.

Stop at the iconic Nullarbor Roadhouse, explore the ruins of an old telegraph station and, come late arvo, cross the border into Western Australia. Tonight's entertainment is provided courtesy of the celestial sphere.

Today travel around 80 km (10 hours) with plenty of stops along the way. Tonight, bush camp under the Southern skies on the Nullarbor.

Day 5 – Nullarbor to Cape Le Grand National Park

Today, take on Australia's longest straight road - '90 Mile Straight'. Visit the outback town of Balladonia, which shot to worldwide fame in 1979 when the Skylab space station returned to earth here rather abruptly.

After another reasonably big drive today with plenty of entertainment and stops along the way, get ready for some of Australia's most spectacular scenery, heading towards Esperance. This part of Western Australia has no less than nine National Parks and some of the best beaches in the world. Set up camp in the most spectacular of all, Cape Le Grand. It's so striking, stay two nights here in the well-equipped camping area.

Today travel around 600km (7 hours).

Day 6 – Cape Le Grand National Park

Crystal clear waters, powdery, white sands, expansive granite bluffs, and sunbathing kangaroos? Sound like a dream? Well, it's not, because today you'll wake up in paradise. Pristine and perfect are two words that reflect the absolute beauty of Cape Le Grand National Park. The ocean here is transparent, and the sand at Lucky Bay has twice been judged Australia's whitest.

Meet the iconic western greys, who don't mind posing for that iconic kangaroo selfie. Spend the whole day exploring, swimming and bushwalking. You'll also have some free time to do whatever you please.

We drive only 10 minutes today, and walks will vary from 2-4 hours.

Day 7 – Cape Le Grand National Park & Stirling Ranges

Sunrise here is spectacular, and it's also when the roos are at their most active. Wander onto the beach nice and early to see these, before a hike up Frenchman Peak. A challenging yet rewarding hike, wow at the beautiful vistas which span right across Cape Le Grand and the Recherche Archipelago. Refuel with a lunch stop on one of the many beaches on Esperance's Great Ocean Drive, then settle in for the onwards drive to our Stirling Ranges campsite at Mount Trio.

Today, travel approximately 470km (5 hours), and camp in a private campground in the Stirling Ranges which has shower and toilet facilities.

Day 8 – Stirling Ranges & South West Coast

Today visit, the Porongurups for a two-hour hike through spectacular forests to Castle Rock and jump back on the bus for a magnificent coastal drive towards Albany. Be wowed at The Gap and Natural Bridge before stopping for a dip at Elephant Rocks and Greens Pool in William Bay National Park.

From the coast to the forest, discover the old-growth forests of the Walpole Wilderness Region with the last stop of the day at the largest Tingle Tree in Western Australia.

Travel approximately 270km today (4 hours) and camp at the beautiful Shannon National Park, which has shower and toilet facilities.

Day 9 – Margaret River

Today we put adventure aside as we taste our way around the world-renowned Margaret River region. Whatever your taste buds desire, you will find it here. From wine to gin, and chocolate to cheese, by the end of the day you will be feeling very satisfied and merry. Cheers to that!

Today travel around 200km (5 hours), making tasting stops along the way. Tonight, camp at Big Valley Caravan Park in Margaret River which has shower and toilet facilities.

Day 10 – Margaret River to Perth

Roll up your swag one last time before meeting Wardandi custodian, Josh. He will introduce you to the world's oldest living culture with his authentic and personal interpretation. Go deep down into the Ngilgi Cave for a memorable underground didgeridoo performance, taste native foods, and experience traditional fire-lighting.

As this 10-day adventure draws to an end, stop at the popular tourist town of Busselton, where it's hard to miss the 19th-century jetty stretching 1.8km into Geographe Bay. One last stint on the road has you arriving into Perth around 6 pm. Although there are no formal activities planned, it is usual for the group to get together and reflect on the big journey together over a few drinks.

Today travel around 300km (4 hours) and we recommend you have booked your Perth accommodation before departure.

OPTIONAL EXPERIENCES

While everything on our tours is included in the price, there is one optional experience on this tour. It is very popular, so we highly recommend securing your place when you book.

Swim with sea lions and dolphins ($180pp)

The interaction that you will have with the sea lions and dolphins at the beautiful and sheltered Baird Bay on the Eyre Peninsula will leave you breathless. Board the 14-seater boat for a short ride to the first stop, to swim with sea lions.  This takes place in approximately two metres of water and is a natural experience with the sea lions coming into the sheltered lagoon to interact with us.

After this, head further out into the bay to swim with the majestic bottlenose dolphins. This happens in four metres of water within the sheltered bay. The tour is 3-4 hours, and a wetsuit and snorkel equipment is included.
