The ultimate Australian road trip! You will wind along the Great Ocean Road, drive across the Nullarbor and experience incredible coastal views, unique wildlife & serene beaches.


Overnight at Melbourne Metro YHA

Day 1, Saturday (dinner included) - The Great Ocean Road winds over 200kms of spectacular coastline with incredible ocean views. Explore an ancient rainforest, spot wild koalas & travel through rolling hills as you make your way to the breathtaking 12 Apostles. Overnight in the Grampians.

Day 2, Sunday (breakfast included)- Start the morning with a walk to get your blood pumping in Victoria's best hiking destination Grampians National Park. Visit the Brambuk Aboriginal Cultural Centre then spend the afternoon in the great outdoors, exploring lookouts & magnificent waterfalls in Grampians National Park. Overnight at Adelaide Central YHA.

Days 3 & 4, Mon/Tue (no meals) –You have 2 days of free time to spend in Adelaide. Explore the city markets, museums, art galleries, zoo & parks or add on a Barossa Valley day tour for only $115.Overnights at Adelaide Central YHA.

Day 5, Wednesday (lunch & dinner included) – Explore the Southern Flinders Ranges and hike Alligator Gorge, keep an eye out for the yellow footed rock wallaby. Overnight at a bush camp – no facilities.

Day 6, Thursday (all meals included) – Discover the beauty of the Eyre Peninsula. Take a coastal walk at Venus bay and spot dolphins in the surf. Get your adrenalin pumping with some sand boarding on massive sand dunes! Overnight in Coodlie Park - a working farm. 

Day 7, Friday (all meals included) – This morning you will get the option to swim with the playful sea lions & dolphins at Baird Bay (an additional $160 paid direct). After a picnic lunch on the beach you will drive to a secluded camping spot. Overnight in Fowlers Bay – camp ground with shower facilities.

Day 8, Saturday (all meals included) – Be in awe of the magnificent sea cliffs of the Great Australia Bight. Take some photos of the famous wombat, emu and camel road sign on the Nullarbor then cross the border into Western Australia. Overnight at a bush camp – no facilities.

Day 9, Sunday (all meals included) – Leave the outback and head to the coast to Esperance and Cape Le Grand National Park. Overnight in Cape Le Grand – camp ground with shower facilities.

Day 10, Monday (all meals included) – Crystal clear waters, squeaky white sand, expansive granite bluffs and sunbathing kangaroos? How you spend your morning here is up to you. Take a coastal walk, go for a swim or relax on the beach. Take a hike to Frenchman’s Peak, where beautiful vistas span right across Cape Le Grand and the Recherche Archipelago. Overnight in Cape Le Grand – camp ground with shower facilities.

Day 11, Tuesday (all meals included) – Take a morning stroll down to the beach and spot some kangaroo’s then settle in for the onwards drive to our Stirling Ranges campsite – camp ground with facilities.

Day 12, Wednesday (all meals included) – Today’s a day for keeping cameras close and clicking fingers at the ready. You’ll be treated to superb views of sun-bleached boulders, turquoise seas and dramatic red-rock cliffs shaped by eons of crashing waves and rolling tides. From the coast to the forest, you’ll veer off into the Valley of the Giants for a treetop canopy walk almost 60 metres above the ground. Overnight camping in swags with facilities.

Day 13, Thursday (all meals included) – Today it’s time to eat, drink and be merry, tasting the delicious local fare of Margaret River. Boutique breweries, chocolate, cheese and even a fudge factory, today you will have time to browse and explore. Overnight in Margaret River.

Day 14, Friday (breakfast & lunch) – Check out the Ngilgi caves and get the lowdown on this amazing underground world, then gain a totally different insight into local culture during a meet-up with some of the people indigenous to the area. A final stint on the road will bring us into Perth. Overnight at Perth City YHA

You will need to bring your own sleeping bag, they are not available for purchase or hire.
