Hire a bike and cycle through the peaceful Tweed River Valley and sugar cane country. Paddle or swim in the tranquil river without waves or rips. Visit the World Heritage Rainforest Centre, try unusual delights at Tropical Fruit World or go bushwalking in nearby National Parks.
Excellent Italian, Mexican, Thai, pizza or good old fashioned pub grub can be found at over 33 cafes and restaurants close to your Murwillumbah accommodation. Enjoy live jazz, country, blues and rock bands in town. The lively nightclubs of backpacker meccas Byron Bay and Surfers Paradise are an hour away.

walk/cycle about the town beside the river or try the many resturants/clubs. the new art gallery has plenty to view, inside and out. there are views from lookouts and hills. climb Mount Warning. travel to Tweed Heads then return to this quiet town to wind down.
