Room was very small but kitchen was very clean. Not given towels so used our own. We had people come in a 1am that made it noisy. Rooms are next to each other.
Jeanette H. (November 2014)
This hostel was a really clean and friendly one. Big tidy kitchen, nice living room and the bathrooms were also big enough and clean. Perfect located to get easily to the national park and everything you need is nearby (bakery, shop etc.) Definitely ...
Daniela W. (November 2014)
A very basic hostel, but the only one in the area.
Sam L. (November 2014)
Nice little hostel, well located, quiet
Liam B. (August 2014)
Nice hostel at a good location, close to the beach and there are a few shops close by.
Christine H. (March 2014)
Huge common areas and easy, fast access to local stores and pub. Very basic dorm rooms that are relatively spacious.
j E. (March 2014)
Fine place to stop briefly, could be a little cheaper for what you get but saying that the only thing cheaper in the area was pitching a tent and if you're from interstate that's not really an option.
Raeoni M. (March 2014)
We've spent just one night on one of their cabins. It was pretty nice.
Thiago P. (August 2013)
A great place to start your Mountain experience.
Audrey D. (April 2013)
Nice hostel. Close to the beautiful Wineglass Bay and the Freycinet National Park. Clean Bathrooms and kitchen.

Situated in the Coles Bay Township, 1km from the Freycinet National Park, the Iluka Backpackers YHA is over the road from Muirs Beach. On-site backpackers facilities at the hostel include tavern/bistro and bakery. There is also a playground for children.
Freycinet National Park is one of the east coast's most popular destinations with secluded beaches, spectacular scenery, red granite mountains and clear blue water. With so much on offer guests at the hostel can undertake some of the many and varied activities including bushwalking, swimming, fishing, kayaking, photography, oyster farm tours, boat charters and scenic flights.
during the stay, I enjoyed sea kayaking which gave a chance to see dolphins as close as 10m! The surface of Oyster Bay is the best spot to enjoy landscape of mountains in Freycinet Park.
Journey north west along the Derwent Valley through the historic settlement of New Norfolk. Pass through the hop fields of Bushy Park and on to Mt Field National Park.
