The Grampians Eco YHA backpacker hostel has a fully equipped kitchen with organic herbs, free range eggs, vegetables and fruit for your use, subject to season and availability.
For environmental reasons there is no air conditioning.

You feel yourself chilling out (or warming up) as soon as you enter the Halls Gap - Grampians YHA. The rooms are inviting and not claustrophobic as they can be in some hostels and the common areas are spacious and welcoming.

It is my favourite YHA Hostel in S.E Australia. I come every year, sometimes twice a year esp. in winter when camping in the Grampians isn't quite as appealing.

The Grampians Eco YHA hostel in Halls Gap is a stylish, comfortable eco-hostel in the heart of the stunning Grampians National Park and only a short stroll to town. You can rock climb, abseil and explore the Grampians hiking trails, or simply relax in front of the hostel's wood heaters and spot the kangaroos out the back.

Family Rooms: To book a family room rate, there must be at least one child under 18 and 1-2 adults; otherwise this special room rate will be adjusted to the usual adult prices with the difference payable on arrival.
There is plenty to see and do in this rugged mountain range renowned for its breathtaking rocky views, rich culture and stunning wildflower displays. Visit Aboriginal rock art sites, spectacular lookouts and awe inspiring waterfalls. Or why not try bushwalking, rockclimbing, picnicking, bike riding, camping or fishing?
At dusk, see the kangaroos grazing on the hostel lawn right in front of your eyes. Nearby there are some excellent restaurants and don't forget the local pub. Or you could curl up by the fire and share stories with your fellow travellers.

Hire a car (4WD if possible) so you can take the dirt roads and 4WD tracks through the bush and see heaps of wild life, and get around to more of the amazing walks and cave art in the area. The Brambuk Cultural centre is a must visit as well, great knowledge on the local tribes and info specific to the land in the Grampians.
