 Canberra City Break

Canberra not only boasts more free attractions than any other Australian city, it has cafes, culture, and cuisine to give any Aussie city a run for its money, plus a massive year-round calendar of events. All of this makes Canberra a fantastic spot for a mini break. Check out these upcoming events and take advantage of Canberra City YHA's great-value Autumn Break or Wired deals.

Canberra Festival

28 February - 16 March 2014

More than 50 free and ticketed events are on the packed program, including a film festival, must-see exhibitions, dance, art, and music, all showcasing the diversity of the capital. The Celebrate in the Park concert and fireworks are back on, as is the magic of Enlighten, when the city stays up late, opens its doors, and (quite literally) shines a light on its cultural gems. There are starlight dinners on the roof of Old Parliament House, sound and light shows, hilarious comedy, off-the-wall performances,  and the ever-popular Balloon Spectacular as hot-air balloons of all shapes and sizes take to the skies over Canberra.
