  • Kadir and Alison provide a warm, friendly, accommodating and courteous service. The hostel is run efficiently and is well equipped, appointed and positioned. We would definitely consider returning and would highly recommend it to others.

I loved this hostel. It was such a homely place and we met a nice bunch of people staying there. Port Fairy itself was a nice change to some of the less interesting towns we passed through on the Great Ocean Road.

Excellent for a one night stop of driving the ocean road

  • This charming fishing village is a must see at the end of the iconic Great Ocean Road. One of the busiest fishing ports in Victoria, you can watch the fishermen unload their catch for the day or wander the wide streets lined with quaint nineteenth century cottages - including our own YHA.

A piece of Victorian history and former home to the town founder, Port Fairy YHA backpackers hostel is one of the oldest heritage buildings in the seaside town. Walking distance to the town centre, beaches and river. Why not eat fresh fish and chips on the beach from the local store and wander to Griffiths Island and see the lighthouse and colony of birds.

Port Fairy YHA also has a self contained apartment with a Queen Room and Twin Room (sleeps 4) that can be booked by calling the hostel directly. Prices start from $200 for 4 people, please call for more information or to book. Terms and Conditions Apply.
