As well as the world-famous dolphins at Monkey Mia, the Shark Bay region is also home to the Dugong. Close to the hostel there are activities such as 4WD trips and sight-seeing by both air and sea. 24km to Monkey Mia (free bus to/from). Fishing, snorkelling, beachcombing. Fish BBQ's. Regular pool competitions at hostel. Pearl farm experience $5.
