Myella Farmstay YHA operates a daily transfer from / to Rockhampton (included in packages or bought seperately). Departs Rockhampton 6.30am Tuesday to Friday. Must be booked in advance.
Backpackers can catch the bus, train or plane to Rockhampton. A bus to Barabala departs daily Tuesday to Friday at 6.30am, picking up from Rockhampton train station, bus depot and Rockhampton YHA daily Tuesday to Friday. Transfers must be booked in advance.

One of My favourite hostels so far. Very kindly people who own the place. You don't need to go to zoo to see kangaroo only go to myella. This is what australia is known for.

At Baralaba, Myella backpackers hostel you can experience the true outback way of life on this genuine cattle farm, just 125kms from Rockhampton. Standard overnight rates include accommodation only. Transfers, activities and meals can be purchased separately.
A 2 day / 1 night package is available, including return transfers from Rockhampton, meals and farm activities such as horse riding, motorbike riding and lessons, feeding the animals and general tasks that will get you dirty.
Watch out for the annual rodeo and cow-chasing competition in June.
