"Very clean and quiet hostel, right in the middle of Hobart. Beds were comfortable,and bathroom clean.The kitchen did become a little crowded at evening meal time. A problem for us was that the only available parking was out on the street, a fair distance away. Reception was really friendly and helpful. Everything you need is within walking distance, and the wharf and Salamanca Place a short stroll."

"A lovely location right next to Constitution Dock, and Museum. Very nice room. bathroom spotless. Good room heater for cold nights. no noise from other guests or outside. The only downside was tramping up two flights of stairs to get to the room. alright for youngsters but bit tough on this oldie (74). Was a bit worried about the lack of info about fire exits and what to do in event of fire."

"slept in a multi-share room, and there where only a few power sockets. But the rest was really cool here. I stayed there for 3 nights and the stuff was so friendly. They washed for example my towel for free before I checked out..."

"Very enjoyable week long stay here. Nice, small, friendly hostel with great people staying. Private bathrooms in the corridor almost gave an 'ensuite' feel to the dorm rooms. Fantastic location just two minutes walk from the waterfront. On the downside, the kitchen was rather small, and the absence of a lift may cause problems for less mobile guests."

"Depending on the room, your stay can be quite noisy because some bethrooms are really close to a very noisy main street. Also, it turns out that on Friday nights there is a very noisy karaoke machine next door that will make your night (up to 2 am) very interesting... ;-) Otherwise, it is a good hostel. Enjoy staying in beautiful Hobart!"

"A great hostel with very helpful staff - just don't stay here on a Friday or Saturday night or you will be tortured by some very bad karaoke going on in the bar downstairs. VERY load you wont be able to get too sleep"

"The place is clean and tidy though the space is limited. There is no lift in the YHA so guests with heavy luggage got to drag them up stairs. Backpackers would have no problem. Sharing facilities in the pantry can be tight at peak hours."
