We're excited to announce that YHA Australia has won the Customer Experience Impact Award at the 2024 Automate Sydney Impact Awards! This recognition highlights our dedication to delivering secure, efficient, and sustainable experiences for our guests, enhanced by our partnership with Workato. It's a major milestone as we continue to elevate accommodation experiences for all.

YHA’s Sustainable Properties Fund proudly won the Best Responsible Tourism Initiative award at the Global Youth Travel Awards in Lisbon, a significant achievement given the strong competition from industry leaders like Intrepid. Established in 2010, the Sustainable Properties Fund (SPF) aims to reduce carbon emissions and improve the energy efficiency of YHA buildings. In 2024 alone, the SPF funded around $500,000 in projects, including aircon upgrades, a heat pump hot water system, and energy-efficient fridges and laundry equipment. t is wonderful to receive this recognition of YHA’s commitment to doing our bit to address climate change.

Travel writer Sue Williams highlighted YHA’s upgrades, including luxury rooms with flat-screen TVs, stunning Opera House views, and sleek 'co-living' rooms, all while keeping affordability in mind. Our recent multi-million-dollar upgrades in Sydney and Brisbane are just the start, as we continue to offer premium experiences at great value across Australia.
