How do I become a member of YHA Australia?
As part of your first night’s stay at one of our properties, you will become a member of YHA Australia at no additional cost. If you are an Australian resident but won't be staying at a YHA in Australia, you can become a member for $15 here.
How long is my membership valid for?
Membership is initially valid for 2 years.
How is my membership renewed?
Each time you stay at a YHA in Australia your membership will be renewed for 2 years from the check-in date (at no additional cost). If you won't be staying at a YHA in Australia and wish to renew, you can do so online for $15 here.
How do I get access to MyYHA?
Sign Up or login here and verify your email address (you will receive an email with a link).
How do I get the MyYHA discounted rate?
When you book while logged into MyYHA, you will always get the best rates available.
I'm having trouble logging into MyYHA.
If you are trying to request a new password but do not receive an email, it means we do not have a registered login for you and you will need to create a new one.
I can't see my digital membership card.
YHA are currently transitioning to several new systems and are unable to show your membership card at this time. If you need proof of membership, please contact YHA Membership.
Does YHA issue physical membership cards?
No, YHA no longer issues physical membership cards.
Will my digital membership card be accepted by discount providers and at overseas properties?
Yes.
I am a YHA/HI member in my home country - will I also become a member of YHA Australia if I stay at one of your properties?
Yes, you will become a member with YHA Australia as part of your first night's stay. Your membership with your home association however is still valid.
I didn't book direct with YHA - do I still become a member when I check-in?
We want everyone to be part of YHA, so yes, you will become a member when you check-in at your first YHA property. It is important you give us your personal email address on arrival so we can email your membership card to you after you have checked-in.
I didn't book while logged in to MyYHA - did I still get the discounted MyYHA rate?
In order to receive the discounted MyYHA rate, you must be logged into MyYHA prior to making your booking.
