Return of the Pterodactyl

17 minutes from Canberra City YHA and 165 million years ago, dinosaurs ruled the planet and students were a whole lot better behaved. The National Dinosaur Museum houses more than 50 lifelike (and lifesize!) model dinosaurs to delight and engage your group.

With roaring, blinking, breathing brontosauruses and phenomenal fossils, a 90 minute guided tour at the Museum will cover the Earth’s geological past, developments in palaeontological methods, the demise of the dinosaurs and subsequent rise of the megafauna. Australia’s own prehistory is a key focus of tours and is illuminated throughout, and tours can be tailored to suit any primary or secondary school age.

Daytime and evening tours are available, and your group will never forget the day they discovered dinosaur biology and evolution. And heard a dinosaur roar!
