Wine Lovers Are Going Nuts For Fleurieu Peninsula

Take a bunch of wine zones, dot them throughout a setting of hills, forest and coastal scenes all in one must-visit-now destination, and you get the Fleurieu Peninsula wine scene.

We're talking over 100 cellar doors in some of the most breath-taking and happy-making diverse wine region scenery you can get.  So, grab a car, sat-nav, designated driver - or hop-on-hop-off bus - and get exploring.

Here's some of our faves:

1. McLaren Vale

A crazy mix of young guns and old master winemakers are dotted throughout this coastal wine paradise to give you a fun and fanciful wine ride through the many and varied wineries of McLaren Vale.

The views, the garden, the food, THE WINE!

2. Langhorne Creek

Old vines and wine-making passion meet in this hidden-gem of a wine region.  There’s plenty of wine to be tasted, so it’s worth the effort to get off the well-worn wine trail.

Bleasdale

Started in the 1850s.  Try the Sparkling Shiraz for an all together different experience.

3. Currency Creek

Wind (not wine) your way around the forest and farmland of Currency Creek to uncover some wines unique to this little region due to the particular climate conditions.

160 acres of established vines, nestled next to the Tookayerta Creek – sounds good enough to us

4. Mt Compass

This pretty farming town on the road from Adelaide to Port Elliot has some cute little wineries around that are definitely worth exploring.
