Murwillumbah YHA has stunning views
of World Heritage listed Mt Warning and is located right on the shores of the
Tweed River. The manager and guests have
created a quirky décor and the hostel has a homely atmosphere. Being a small
hostel, guests can meet and socialise easily. It’s famous for free ice cream provided
at 9pm most nights, gathering guests together. The house was originally a ferry
captains home (1922-1932) featuring riverside gardens.
This cosy backpacker accommodation
makes a great base to explore Mount Warning, National Parks, rainforest, and
waterfalls. Experience a typical Aussie community, see the murals and graffiti
wall, swim or kayak the peaceful Tweed River. Murwillumbah YHA is a great short
and peaceful break from Byron Bay and the Gold Coast.
