Located east of Brisbane, Stradbroke Island is a natural treasure with kilometres of white sandy beaches, picturesque headlands, inland lakes and an abundance of wildlife. Enjoy 4WD tours, sand boarding, sea kayaking or the spectacular North Gorge Headlands walk where you can see whales (June-October), manta rays (November-April), dolphins and turtles. The onsite SSI dive centre caters for divers and snorkellers with daily charters and dive courses available.

Visit the Gorge Walk at the top of Point Lookout for spectacular views and wildlife. Relax or walk along the islands beautiful beaches.

Sunset on Adder Rock - end your day watching the sunset just a 2 minutes from the hostel.
Bush walking - every Wednesday the local bushwalkers meet at 8-8:30am to complete a walk on the island. (Only available through the cooler months).
