This 5 day adventure will take you from one iconic Australian destination to another! Starting in Cairns, home to the Great Barrier Reef, you will then travel theough rural Queensland and in to the Northern Territory to Uluru.
Day 1: Depart Cairns for Alice Springs on a Wednesday on the Greyhound Bus at 1am
Day 2: Arriving into Alice Springs in the morning on day 2 you will have a free day to explore. There are some great free local activities that you can do such as Anzac Hill and the walk to the Telegraph Station. Tonight you will stay at Alice Springs YHA.
Day 3: Start the day nice and early as you travel to Kings Canyon. Enjoy a 3 hour hike through the sandstone domes of the Lost City. Visit the Amphitheatre, North & South Walls and the beautiful Garden of Eden. Your guide will prepare you a tasty meal in a bush oven as you relax around the fire. Tonight you will camp out Aussie style, in a swag under the stars!
Day 4: Feel the spiritual significance of the Valley of the Winds at Kata Tjuta. See lots of bush tucker along the hike before heading to the Aboriginal Cultural Centre where you can listen to tales from the Dreamtime. Enjoy dinner with a view at the spectacular sunset over Uluru. Witness the awesome sight of Uluru changing colour.
Day 5: Rise bright and early to take in a memorable sunrise over Uluru. You then have time to complete the Uluru base walk. You will see beautiful sites such as the Mala Walk, Mutijulu Waterhole and Aboriginal Cave Paintings. On the way back to Alice Springs you will stop for an optional camel ride. You will arrive back in Alice Springs at approximately 5:30pm. Back to civilization, get cleaned up and we meet later for dinner and a couple of beers in The Rock Bar.

What to bring: Water bottle (at least 1L), hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, walking shoes, towel, toiletries, torch, snacks for Greyhound bus trip, sleeping bag (can be hired for additional charge $20), sense of adventure!
