The Great Ocean Road winds over 200kms of spectacular coastline with incredible ocean views, ancient rainforest and an abundance of unique Australian wildlife. If you are lucky in winter you might even spot the odd whale passing by! After an early morning departure your first stop will be at a surf beach to enjoy the fresh ocean air and enjoy a complimentary morning tea. Then this is where the Great Ocean Road starts, a quick stop at the Memorial Arch for a photo then onto those incredible ocean views!
Be sure to keep an eye out for wildlife! Don't worry if you miss them while you are on the road as you will get to meet some snoozing koalas and brightly coloured birds, who certainly aren't shy, at Kennett River.
After a lunch stop in the charming seaside town of Apollo Bay you will get a chance to get some quality time off the bus to stretch your legs on a walk through ancient rainforest.
Upon arrival at the 12 Apostles you will be awestruck by the mighty limestone stacks and intrigued by the stories of the shipwreck coast at Loch Ard Gorge.
As the sun sets, you will make a stop to purchase dinner to prepare for the return drive to Melbourne via the inland route.
What you need to bring: Water, hat, sunscreen, comfortable walking shoes, warm and cool weather clothing.
