The Grampians National Park is one of the world’s oldest and most spectacular mountain ranges. The area is home to an abundance of native wildlife, rich in local Aboriginal history and is Victoria’s premier hiking destination.
En-route to the Grampians you stopover at the township of Beaufort to enjoy your morning tea and give your legs a bit of a stretch. You then travel into the heart of the Grampians National Park where breathtaking mountain views await.
As you drive through the region your experienced guide will point out unique wildlife including kangaroos, emus and a vast array of birdlife. Visit the Brambuk Aboriginal Cultural Centre to learn about the local indigenous art and heritage.
Experience the majestic views and scenery from Reeds Lookout, then hike the trails to the remarkable Jaws of Death/Balconies. Then get some time to relax and cool off at the base of Mackenzie Falls or Silverband Falls.
Return to Melbourne, stopping along the way for dinner (own expense).
What you need to bring: water bottle, hat, sunscreen, warm clothes, comfortable walking shoes.
IMPORTANT: A medium fitness level is recommended for this tour due to being a nature based walking tour.

YHA Travel Package Cancellations:
Cancellation within 7 days of departure will result in a 50% loss of the ticket price; cancellation or transfer within 48 hours of departure will result in full fare forfeiture.
Cancellation within 48 hours prior to commencement or no shows will incur 100% cancellation fee, meaning no refund.
Refunds are not available on unused portions of tour packages.
Bookings can only be amended more than 7 days prior to commencement.
Amendments within 48 hours of commencement will be treated as a cancellation, and you will need to make a new booking.
Each amendment (not cancellation) after confirmation will incur a fee of A$25 per person per amendment, in addition to any fees imposed by the tour operator.
-If you are not already a member of YHA Australia, membership will be included as part as your first night’s stay if your tour includes accommodation.
- If you are an Australian resident, your membership is valid for 2 years from the month that you stay at your first YHA hostel in Australia. Your membership will renew automatically, unless you have not stayed in a YHA hostel in the past 24 months and have unsubscribed from all electronic communications.
- If you are not an Australian resident, your membership is valid for 2 years from the month that you stay at your first YHA hostel in Australia.
Cancellations and Amendments
If you need to cancel or amend your booking after we have confirmed, please notify us immediately by email or fax. On the booking confirmation print-out, you can find the email contact details. If you cancel or amend your booking after we have confirmed or fail to arrive on the nominated day, we will charge you the fees outlined in the specific product conditions.
We strongly advise you purchase adequate travel insurance to safeguard against any losses.
