This two day Blue Mountains Overnight Tour is perfect for nature lovers looking to explore this stunning national park.
The first stop after an early start is a fun and interactive Australian wildlife park, home to the largest collection of Australian native animals in the world, where you can cuddle a kangaroo, feed a wallaby, check out some huge crocodiles and take a selfie with a koala!
After arriving in the Blue Mountains, you go on your first bushwalk where you will learn about ancient indigenous inhabitants, bush tucker and native flora & fauna. You’ll come across colourful birds, unique animal life and dramatic canyons and cliffs.
You’ll see the Three Sisters, the famous rock formation and one of the most iconic images in Australia. The views overlooking the Jamison Valley are stunning, even on a cloudy day this will take your breath away! Experience an amazing cliff face walk down through the rainforest, following which you can then walk back up or hold on tight as you ride the world’s steepest railway up (own expense).
At the end of the day your will be dropped you at your accommodation located in the heart of the Blue Mountains National Park with restaurants, bars, cafes and shops only minutes' walk away. Check in, relax, then head out into the night!
The second day is a free day to explore this stunning area and there is plenty to do, from self guided walks to canyoning, abseiling or adding on a tour to the Jenolan Caves. Ask us about planning your perfect Blue Mountains Escape.
The Jenolan Caves: Located on the western side of the Blue Mountains National Park, the Jenolan Caves are dated as one of the oldest cave systems in the world. See stalactites and stalagmites inside the Lucas Cave or experience the Chifley Cave's large chambers, richly draped in colourful limestone crystal. This optional add- on is a coach tour including return transfers and entry to either the Lucas Cave or Chifley Cave departing daily from Blue Mountains YHA at 10.25am to Jenolan Caves and returns to the Blue Mountains YHA by 5.00pm.
Half Day Abseil: A brilliant half day abseiling adventure. The abseiling starts with a beginner friendly 5 metre high cliff. Your instructors are close at hand to encourage and explain the techniques. With your instructor explaining each step, you progress through to a 15 metre high cliff finishing on a thrilling 30 metre high drop. The setting is beautiful bushland, making it both a scenic and exciting adventure!
Want even more time in the Blue Mountains? We get it! No worries- just let us know at the time of booking that you want to add on additional nights!
