Experience Kangaroo Island in all its glory. Spectacular wilderness and wildlife. Plus amazing local food and wine, all expertly prepared in a breathtaking setting.
Day 1 – Adelaide to Kangaroo Island

This morning, start the day with a scenic drive to Cape Jervis taking in the picturesque Fleurieu Peninsula with its vineyards, coastal views and rolling hills. The 45 minute ferry ride takes you to Penneshaw, the gateway to Kangaroo Island and some of the best food and wine Australia has to offer.

Your first destination gives a glimpse of life at Island Pure Sheep Dairy. Meet the “ladies” and learn about production of their fabulous cheeses, yogurts and other dairy products. Of course, there will be tastings and a spot of morning tea.

The next stop if the incredibly popular Kangaroo Island Spirits (KIS), a boutique distillery specialising in handcrafted premium Australian spirits. Taste gins, vodkas and liqueurs which are made using Native Australian Botanicals and locally grown ingredients. You won’t want to leave, but your 2 course lunchawaits at Zone Restaurant. It is located on the Kingscote foreshore with stunning views overlooking the bay. There may be a chance to stretch your legs and work off some of lunch with free time in Kingscote

Then it's time to head to . Sample a selection from their great range of award-winning wines while taking in the magnificent views.

At the next destination, Island Beehive, you will hear a lot about the local Ligurian Bee and its importance to the Island’s honey industry. Learn about the extraction process and get a chance to taste the amazing honey produced here.

Travel to the western end of the Island to the spectacular Flinders Chase National Park. A highlight is the Remarkable Rocks and what better way to enjoy it then watching sunset with a glass of sparkling wine in hand. Wander around these impressive rock formations, which are like a natural sculpture gallery.

After a full day of activities, it's time to head to your accommodation for the night at Kangaroo Island Wilderness Retreat where you will enjoy a 2 course dinner before retiring for the night.

Day 2 – Kangaroo Island to Adelaide

After a delicious breakfast enjoy the scenery on the way to the rugged southern coastline for a walk around Admirals Arch. Watch the fierce ocean swells at this spectacular natural arch and see the playful Long Nose Fur Seals that are usually playing in the waves or having a sleep on the rocks. You'll then have another visit to the Remarkable Rocks where you can take contrasting day time photos of the stunning granite boulders and sea views.

After all of that fresh air, you will visit Kelly Hill Conservation Park and its maze of surprising caves. Explore sinkholes, caverns and ornate calcite formations, with a National Parks Ranger showing us the way. After climbing through the caves and working up an appetite, it's time for a 2 course Lunch at the Marron Café at Andermel. Marron is a tasty freshwater crayfish, so this will be a special lunch!

Once your belly is full, you'll move on to the Raptor Domain to witness the remarkable Birds of Preydemonstration. Marvel as a variety of birds show off their flight and hunting skills.

Time permitting, there will be a stop at Pennington Bay for a photo opportunity of this stunning bay before heading to Sunset Food and Wine for dinner. It is spectacular taking in the sea views as you relax with a wine and sample the local produce.

After dinner, it's back to the ferry and onto a coach transfer to Adelaide.

While it is our intention to follow the itinerary as described, on occasion it may be necessary and desirable to make changes due to weather conditions and other factors.
