Best free spots for views & local experiences

Pittwater is made for getting outdoors. Explore the many bushwalks and lookouts throughout the national park, keeping an eye out for wallabies, possums, goannas and native birdlife along the way.

Start your day with a sunrise walk to a sandstone rock shelf overlooking Pittwater, or time your visit with a full moon for a magical late-night beach walk. Bring your mountain bike and hit the trails through the national park, or head to Botham Beach Bushland Reserve to relax and soak up the sun.

Want to get out on the water? Hire a stand-up paddleboard or kayak directly from YHA Pittwater Eco. Rentals are $25/hour or $50 for unlimited use and include a life jacket, paddleboard or kayak, and paddle. Simply book at reception and pick up and drop off at the property.
