    • It is was one of the best YHA I ever tried. The dorm room are plenty of space and plugs ! The buildings are very young not old. And had a pretty good atmosphere.

    Things to do in Byron Bay

    You won't get bored in Byron. Try sea kayaking with dolphins, parachuting, and hang-gliding. Learn to surf, scuba dive, and even trapeze.  Take a day trip from Byron Bay to hippie Nimbin or head into the rainforest for trekking, mountain bike riding, and bushwalking.

    At the end of the day experience Byron Bay’s backpacker nightlife, just minutes from the Cape Byron hostel. Visit Byron Bay institution, the Beach Hotel, head to Cheeky Monkeys Backpacker Bar or Woody's Nightclub for the weekly surfboard giveaway on Wednesdays.

    FREE things to do in Byron Bay

    1. Walk the loop to the lighthouse via the National Park rainforest walk and back via Watego Beach and Palm Valley (7km return)
    2. Surf, swim or sunbake on any of Byron Bay's phenomenal beaches
    3. Take in a sunrise (or sunset if you like a sleep in too much) at Australia’s most Easterly point
    4. Free live music at the famous Beach Hotel most nights but especially for the traditional Sunday Session (on Sundays if you didn’t guess!)
    5. Spot a hippie or even a hipster at a sunset drum circle on Main Beach, or check out the many street artists around town
    6. Walk around the local Farmers Market every Thursday morning or the monthly market first Sunday of every month
