Getting here by car
There is no parking available at YHA. A designated luggage drop off zone is located at the front of the YHA. Free overnight parking is available in Thredbo with a complimentary shuttle bus from parking area to the property.
The drop off zone has a 5-minute limit and cars that exceed the limit will be imposed a $300 fine. You will be required to drive in and out of the drop off zone front first, there will be no backing out of this area. There is only space for two cars at one time, so cars must wait until the area is vacant.
Remember to purchase your National Park Pass in advance.
Important: It’s compulsory for all 2WD vehicles to carry snow chains in winter, between June and October long weekends. The Roads and Maritime Service (RMS) recommends snow chains are carried by all vehicles driving in the park in winter, including 4WD and AWD, in the event of extreme weather.
