2019 marks the 25th anniversary of the revolutionary film Priscilla - Queen of the Desert, and how better to celebrate and pay homage than a three day comedy, cabaret and live music festival smack bang in our country’s homeland – Alice Springs.

Priscilla Queen of the Desert

Queen of the Desert Festival – Friday March 8 – Sunday March 10 2019

If you haven’t seen the critically acclaimed cult-favourite that is Priscilla – Queen of the Desert; then go watch it right now. We’ll wait. Those of us who have been playing along at home know that such a poignant film deserves a true knees-up to celebrate it’s 25th birthday – something along the lines of a three day festival right in the middle of the country.

So that, friends, is what we’ll do! The inaugural Queen of the Desert Festival transforms our indigenous heartland with sequins, disco and no-holds-barred fun this March; bringing over 10,000 darlings together to celebrate inclusion, diversity, and disco.

The free event will be held in Alice Springs, and we all know queens need a throne (and a shower) – so it’s probably best that you book yourself into Alice Springs YHA to ensure you get your booty sleep. Beauty! Beauty sleep.

All the festival information can be followed on their official website , and Alice Springs YHA can be booked here. Don’t we look fabulous!
