Bassinthegrass has been a banger on the Aussie festival calendar since 2003, but 18 May 2019 sees the day snuggle into its new home on Mindil Beach – home to legit the most amazing sunsets in the whole country. You know that twilight time of a festival day when the earlier sets have you pumped, you’ve had a coupl’a bevvies and your fave artist is about to take the stage? This new location will amp that feeling up to 2000 and you’ll never go to another festival again – Bassinthegrass is all you need.
2019 is officially Bassinthegrass' biggest lineup ever, featuring 12 hours of music and 20+ artists! But fab tunes aren't all that's on offer - meander through Adventure Lane between sets, exploring treasures on display by local artists. When you need a sit down and a drink, head to Cocktail Cove, a fairy-light dotted paradise, guaranteeing you a place to sit and a unique cocktail menu. Find your way to the Silent Soiree - an epic silent disco nestled within the Mindil Forest where you can dance like nobody's watching (or listening).

Sounds amazing? Of course it does! Sadly, the festival doesn't go on forever, so you'll need a shower, a bed and a bar and pool to soak the sins of the festival away in. And, as luck has it, Darwin YHA has all of those things – and it’s a mere stones’ throw away from all the tomfoolery. Win.
