Floriade blooms this year from September 17 - October 16, transforming Canberra into a living, breathing bouquet of over a million bulbs to celebrate the start of Spring. Food stalls, twilight installations, and Canberra City YHA is a mere 8 minute petal-filled stroll away!
Floriade is the official welcoming of Spring in Canberra, and sees over a million blooms transform our capital into a living, breathing bouquet of flowers, food, entertainment and twilight tomfoolery. Open from 9.30am - 5.30pm each day, you'll stroll through explosions of colour and fragrance, with even floral efficianados learning a thing or two.
The culture rises when the sun sets, with evenings spilling to the brim with comedians, musicians, installations and food trucks at Nighfest - where the colour explosions continue! All event info can be found here, and believe us when we say it's a truly magical way to spend a few nights!
Floral explosions make way for incandescant evenings lit by main stage headliners The Veronicas, Busby Marou and Electric Fields, comedy wizard Dave Hughes and an illuminated playground comprised of all your wildest food and beverages dream options! Head down to NightFest once the flowers have been put to bed to eat, drink and be really bloody merry. Spanning four nights, we reckon the best option is to buy a Season Pass so you can experience (and consume) all NightFest has to offer!
