It’s time for Sydney’s favourite coastal walk to be transformed into a seaside, outdoor art gallery for your viewing and Instagramming pleasure.
23 years ago, one David Handley was inspired by a European outdoor sculpture park, and became inspired to try something similar in his home country of Australia. Fast-forward to 2018, and Sculptures by the Sea has long been a huge draw for locals and visitors alike who fancy strolling the 2km from Bondi to Bronte and taking in beauty in all its forms – the lapping ocean in the background and the creative, artistic and moving sculptures shining in the foreground.
This years’ offering will be held from 18 October – 4 November 2018, so you’ve plenty of time to peruse the dozens of hand-selected sculptures, enjoy all this corner of the world has to offer and, of course – sort out your accommodation. That, my friends, we can help with.
Perched above all the action and overlooking Tamarama Beach, Bondi Beachouse YHA is where you wanna be. Private and Multishare rooms so you can wake up to the sound of the waves, walking distance to the cafés, bars and beyond of Bondi and still so close to the city that you can be there in 20 mins. But, why would you want to?
