  • Getting here by train and bus

    Simply take the train from Adelaide Train (Central) station to Zone A Seaford Interchange, the last stop (runs every 30 min). Once in Seaford Interchange take Public Transport Bus (751, 751W. 752) which leaves from Seaford Interchange Train Station the trip takes a total of around 1 hour and 30 minutes.

    Adelaide Airport is the closest airport. Catch the Adelaide Airport Flyer bus from Adelaide Airport to McLaren Vale (approx $35 – $40 per person).

    Getting here by car

    From Adelaide follow Southern Expy/M2 and A13 to Main Rd in McLaren Vale. Take the exit towards McLaren Vale from Victor Harbor Rd/A13. 

    Taxi from Adelaide to McLaren Vale is approximately $85 (cost will vary).

    McLaren Vale  is  a friendly backpacker hostel located in the heart of wine country, surrounded by gentle rolling hills covered in vine yards and dotted with charming cellar doors. Foodies will love the range of exceptional restaurants, while romantics will delight at the picturesque countryside, with winding lanes perfect for a relaxing cycle. Bike hire is highly recommended to explore the region.  There are over 50 cellar doors in the region with plenty of opportunities for wine tasting and the opportunity to stock up on a few bottles of Shiraz or Cabernet from local wineries.

    The hostel is located on the main street of  McLaren Vale and is close to supermarkets and transport. This hostel is best suited for travellers considering working in Australia and can provide assistance with getting jobs locally. The accommodation is in mixed multishare rooms and offers outside entertainment areas  to relax and meet fellow travellers.
